I was finally able to connect my phone to my laptop and show you some pics I took at the beginning of May. We own a weekend cottage in a little village called Vinci at the Romanian border. There we ate some barbecue, drank some whiskey and went for a walk. While we’re there, we like to visit Golubac town, where there is an important historical site, although not quite yet fit for tourists.
Golubac town was a Roman fortified town, most likely built in 14th century on Danube,. It is now pretty ruined due to vegetation, but is supposed to be completely rebuilt in the near future, in 2016, so it’s going to be a huge gorgeous castle in all its glory, you will see a projection at the end of this post. I can’t wait to see it myself, and show you some pics, but I guess I’ll have to wait a little more!
And finally, here’s a picture of what the reconstructed castle will look like, taken from this page, where you can read some more about Golubac.
